Dear Lei is a collection of letters I’m writing to my wife.

We met in the mountains, in the communications department of a small university in the Cordillera. That was where we first learned how to put our thoughts into writing. Somewhere along the way, we stopped doing it as often.

This is me trying to return to it.

I’m writing these so we have something to look back on. Not the big milestones, but the smaller, everyday moments that are easy to forget. The ones that don’t always get said out loud.

The letters are for her, but they’re not only for her. If you’re reading, you’re welcome to read along. There’s nothing to figure out. Just read it as it is.

I don’t know how often I’ll write. But I’ll keep coming back to it.
